New to Yoga
New to Yoga & Appropriate Class Level
Beginners are welcome! We encourage beginners to attend Level 1 classes and highly recommend our 4-week Yoga Basics series to learn the basic poses and become oriented to the layout of a yoga class. CHY encourages you to try out the various classes teachers to find your most inspired fit. If you are uncertain, we suggest you start with the Level 1 or gentle classes.
New to Capitol Hill Yoga
We look forward to welcoming new faces to our studio and community. As our thanks for registering for your first class/workshop local residents will receive a free class card. Your free class will expire within 14 days of first studio visit. This promotion does not apply during the annual DC Yoga Week.
Special Conditions & Injuries
Anyone with serious medical conditions or injuries should consult a doctor prior to beginning a yoga or Pilates practice. CHY classes offer a wonderfully therapeutic practice and we encourage you to listen to your body, taking the appropriate modifications. The practice should not hurt. Do let the teacher know of any specific conditions or injuries you are working with prior to the start of class.
